If the ground is deeper or the weather more humid, then the choice falls on the Forekaster. The medium-high studs have an even spacing, which allows them to grip perfectly on trails with a loose layer over firm ground. The profile is more open than our other racing tyres for better self-cleaning on wet surfaces. Wide notched centre studs brake convincingly on slippery single trails. With the Forekaster you are perfectly prepared for the trails - in any weather.
The new EXO+ construction combines two of the best puncture protection materials: SilkShield and EXO.
The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tyre from bead to bead, the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Tyres with EXO+ protection are designed for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing, and especially for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs.
3C MAXX SPEED
The fastest 3C compound for XC and some AllMountain / Enduro tires is designed for lowest rolling resistance due to the hard base and the fast compound in the middle of the tread, but with the grippy compound on the sides it also offers superior grip in curves, even in wet conditions. Typical MAXXIS is also the very long life.
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of a puncture also decreases. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tyres. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that the tubeless mounting of all standard rims is already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid.
The Wide Trail construction optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and are too angular on wide rims for optimal performance. All Maxxis WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but function perfectly on all rims with an inner diameter between 30 and 39 mm.
