The Ardent Race fills the gap between the icon and the Ardent, between fast XC tyres and trail tyres. Its profile is medium high, the centre studs are narrow, but leave enough space for good self-cleaning and are chamfered for lower rolling resistance. The side studs are angled and offset and bite the ground in curves. This makes the Ardent Race the right tyre for all-round use and on trails.
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tyres. It is very densely woven, lightweight and very flexible. The performance of the tires remains convincingly good.
3C Maxx Speed
Our fastest 3C compound for XC and some AllMountain / Enduro tires is designed for lowest rolling resistance due to the hard base and the fast compound in the middle of the tread, but with the grippy compound on the sides it also offers superior grip in curves, even in wet conditions. Typical MAXXIS is also the very long life.
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: You can drive with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no inner tube, the risk of a puncture also decreases. MAXXIS TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tyres. The bead of our TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tire. This means that the tubeless mounting of all standard rims is already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid.
The Wide Trail construction optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and are too angular on wide rims for optimal performance. All Maxxis WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but function perfectly on all rims with an inner diameter between 30 and 39 mm.
