When every kerb becomes a jump and every spot of earth screams for a skid, the Tremor MIPS is just the right companion to make a broad grin even wider. Equipped with some of the best technologies from Giro's adult line, including in-mold construction for less weight and better durability, and the popular Roc Loc Sport adjustment system for quick, safe adjustment of the helmet, the Tremor is always ready for use. The Tremor MIPS models also feature an integrated safety system, the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System (MIPS), which diverts energy and improve protection at certain impact angles, providing state-of-the-art head protection for young riders.
In-Mold Polycarbonate shell with EPS liner
With In-Mold construction, a strong polycarbonate outer shell is fused with the helmet's shock-absorbing foam padding. The fusion process enables better ventilation, making in-mould helmets lighter and cooler than conventional helmets.
The MIPS Multi-Directional Impact Protection System consists of three main components: the EPS liner, the low friction liner and an elastomeric fastening system between them. When subjected to rotating forces, the elastomers allow the EPS shell to move independently around the head. Helmets equipped with MIPS provide increased protection in certain situations.
